Marius Jansen co-founded Deribit in 2016 after being involved in cryptocurrency trading in early 2013. As an experienced (ex-)crypto trader, Marius was closely involved in the development of Deribit. In 2017, Marius quit trading to join the Deribit team on a full-time basis.
Deribit is now one of the leading derivatives exchanges for cryptocurrencies. It has been created as an answer to those in search for a professional fully dedicated (vanilla) bitcoin option trading platform. It is a service that can create a fully liquid marketplace with the same standards as a normal derivatives markets.
